In this episode, I am talking with the founder or @rawrecoverytalk Alyssa Perez. Alyssa is approaching her 6th year, on her second round of recovery and she is really working it. Having worked in the field and been surrounded by those in recovery she has made it a point to give back, and that is what Raw Recovery Talk is. We don’t talk directly about stigma in this episode but, then again, that may be all we talked about. Alyssa is passionate about living honestly and she is creating a platform to help others choose to live honestly as well. If we in recovery carry shame, we create an environment where stigma festers. Living as open, proud and positive as we can, where we are, shuts that shit down super quick.
