One Wish

One Wish

If you had one wish, what would you want?

Money? Love? Fame?

A wish that never turned against you.

A wish without rules.

Me?

I want one more conversation with you.

You, who always had gum,

You, who always wanted me to smile,

You, who always told jokes,

You, who just wanted me to be happy.

To tell you everything.

Tell you the good news you never got to hear.

The memories you missed out on.

The holidays that I tried not to cry for you.

The many nights I cried thinking of you.

I would listen to the stories you told a hundred times.

Listen to the same bad jokes you thought never got old.

Listen to you laugh

See the happiness and pain-free in yo

ur eyes.

Watch you smile as we talk

You missed so much but you also haven't.

You watch me day and night.

But it's not the same as if you were here.

You can't hug me.

And I can't hear your voice.

I'm so tired.

Tired of crying.

Tired of missing you.

Tired of feeling guilt.

Tired of the fear.

Just one wish is all I ask to talk to you once more.

Say I'm sorry,

To say I love you,

To put my guilt to rest,

So you don't have to watch me keep cry over you.

Just one wish,

Is all I need,

Just to hear you call me, your Puddin Head once more.

Just

One

Dedicated to Papa, I'm sorry I didn't say goodbye.
