Must've felt nice

Back home

With so much to be happy for.

Dressed in a tie

Your mother tied

Before the clock struck 7:44.

The whispers in the bus,

The old janitor humming

And the cries of a four year old.

Your perfect little umbrella

As you walk the roads

You've been down before.

The lunchboxes at 12:45

With a lot of hands

For one sour jam roll.

Your stories colored

Rainbow lights, and the truth is what

You naturally escaped from.

You run back home

Crossing the town's life

Swinging back to our mother's arms.

She listens till you sleep

And land away from

The wars she fights all alone.

Your father coming home

From work and you can't wait

To see what today he brought home.

You run around town

Your eyes matching the

Blue sky- still lit and untorn as of now.

It's your favorite thing to

Get lost in the light and not know

The world outside the front door.

Your perfect kiss goodbyes

To Mr. bunny who lives on the rack

By your room's door.

Your little games

With friends who know

No words but forevermore.

When you are young

You cant wait to be old

But honey you don't stay young forevermore.

And so believe you me

You'll hurt as you go, you'll hurt more

Than I can write in one song.

And the thorns will come your way

And the winters will

Be colder than they used to be before.

You'll rebel and then go quiet

Cause gravity won't let your

Heart rebel door to door.

You'll love and she might not

And your heart will break

And you'll go like this till twenty four.

You'll lose the ones you love

And miss them till you

Forget to count till four.

You will fall into deep mazes

And would be deep down

Crying laid on a bathroom floor.

And those people will leave,

The ones who wrote and

Sang along to 'our favorite songs'.

But there'll be new ones

Through the autumn days

And long desert hours.

Everytime and everyday

You will ask if what stayed

Is even yours anymore?

There will be long nights

Where you won't know

Who you are anymore.

The man in the mirror

Would be a facade

A facade to a broken soul.

You'll miss your family home

And there'd be a lot of unanswered

Calls on your phone.

Your skies will go dark and torn

And Mr. bunny would be

A memory long gone.

You'd break, shatter and crack

Till you don't know

What it feels to broken, anymore.

And if luck will have it, you will

You will make a family

That shall once again bring back a Home.

But you'll forever miss at night

The one door you can't

Open any more.

And then you'll cry cause you'll fail

To bring back home

The one home your heart knows

And shall forever long for.
