When Someone Understands

In this busy schedule of life, taking out time for self is quite difficult. Every minute of your life is guarded by one or the other schedule. Where is the time to rest? Where is the time to relax?

Amidst this busy schedule was Tanima flipping roles of a corporate manager and a new mother. Life seems to be never-ending. The little Mahima feels I should never sleep else my mother runs away.

Tanima thinks why can't she nap for a while that my back can straighten for a while. The sweet smile and the darting eyes just rob all that is called anger from within. This is how Tanima and Mahima survives.

Office is totally afresh and relaxing says Tanima for work there completely empowers her. She feels she is not ignoring her own identity while identifying herself with the new role of motherhood.

Among these tug-of-war and hustle-bustle, Praveen her sweet and caring husband presents an envelope to Tanima.

With a surprised look, she hugs Praveen cooing a sweet thank-you into his ears. Mesmerized with her such out of way romantic moments which has practically become a little less frequent because of concentrated focus on little Mahima. Opportunistically embracing the moment, he steals a French kiss. And the liplock breaks the moment Mahima wails out loud.

Pushing Praveen back she runs to attend her little angel. Holding her close to her breast and consoling her, Mahima finally settles to grizzle. Comforting her, and reassuring that she is not alone, Tanima puts her on her breast. Mahima reassured and convinced sucks her breast and sleeps. Playing with her lanugo, Tanima comforts Mahima who goes for another round of sleep. Praveen quietly stands and sees how his daughter has encroached his reserved and favorite seat. Slowly Tanima lifts her eyes reassuring and thanking Praveen for always being by her side. Satisfied with the assurance Tanima communicates, Praveen smiles and exits.

After an hour of playing, gighling and feeding, finally Mahima retires to sleep again. With an aching back, Tanima too straightens up and sleeps off. A knock on the door breaks the train of thoughts and beautiful channel of dream Tanima was traveling.

Praveen receives Bharat and Pia cheerfully and comfortably settles them. 'Hey buddy what's your plan this Christmas?' Smilingy, Praveen replies, ' Our life has changed after Mahima's blessing. And I planned something special for the two beautiful ladies who made my life complete. ' Rearranging her lushing long hairs with a clutched she greets everybody and settles down next to Praveen. 'So what special you have planned,' inquired Tanima. 'It's a surprise holiday trip to your mother's house this Christmas with a short trip to Kulu Namaku,' replied Praveen looking deep into the eyes of Tanima. Holding his hand in hers she slowly rubs them and comfortably lays her head onto his shoulder. Admiring her gesture, he kisses her forehead. Slowly time passed as the couples exchanged conversations.

After a couple of days finally, Tanima was relaxing on her bed. Mahima and grandma were the perfect complement for each other. Seeing his wife find the rest of the busy never-ending schedule, Praveen feels accomplishing. He feels he played his role quite well.

A good sleep, redistribution of work and good relaxation actually rejuvenated Tanima a lot. That was what she needed that hour. Mahima too was getting less jittery and more comfortable. Seeing these all things falling in place both Tanima and Praveen breathe a sigh of relief.

And after enjoying the cousin's delight Tanima was over-enthusiastically looking forward to a good vacation plan at Kulu-Manali. Grandma said, be careful Mahima is small and might not take changes such easily. Tanima was in the seventh heaven, those words did not even touch her ears. Off they flew to Delhi on a flight and from their a train journey to the very snowy Himachal. Encaptivating was the view out the window as the train proceeded further. The chillness of the air touched our checks and hands as we looked for a taxi to the hotel. After a hot shower, Tanima's spirit was elated. Praveen patted himself when he so the very smile back on her face after months. The same glowy and chirpy Tanima ready to receive the beauty impending. And that was the moment Mahima started crying.

Everyone tries to satisfy her failed, Mahis would not stay in anyone's hand but wailed like anything. Tired of all trying, Tanima finally called her mother. The whole house went on laughing and grandma giggled with the child on the video call.
