(Dated for all humanity)

I surpassed a tornado, a hurricane, a quake and many other tremors which I encountered during this short span of life. I somehow, cannot recollect the cause and effect of such happenings.

It was half past 10 at night, a sudden thunder and lightening which began with a drizzle jolted me up. I closed my book 'Lightning' by Dean Koontz and raced upstairs to collect the clothes from the terrace hung up in the dryer. Then assured that all locks were intact before I went to bed, submissive to sleep after a tiring day. Around 7:00 I woke up, and peeped through my tinted glass.Sun was still asleep enshrouded in the dark clouds blessing the earth with heavy showers. Roads were empty all damp and wet from the heavy rains.

Temperature also decreased. "beep, beep" received a message saying due to heavy downpour schools won't be functioning today as subways, stops and metros have been flooded with water.

Oh no! So much of water within a day!?

Why this sudden change?

After a cup of morning coffee, hoping to find some freshness on such a dull day. I guess sun has taken a day off from his daily work. That is okay, for a day perhaps it is fine.

At noon, suddenly I felt an urge for saying my prayers again.I tiptoes to my room and mumbled over a prayer but sincere and earnest expressing a desire to be SAFE!

Safety??

Of course I am safe, all are safe and why this particular word stuck on my tongue?  All left for work, Mum was back by forenoon as she couldn't make it to the centre of the city.

"The city is almost gushing with water, the levels are rising every hour"

I went up the terrace and took a view of the expanse beneath me.

A centre where people thronged was still waiting... waiting for Someone, SOMEBODY to begin the hustle and jostle of another hectic day. It seemed that everything came to a standstill. The traffic signals stood devoid its red, amber or green shade. It stood dull without any cue for the day.

The colour blue, the shade of the sky, the water brings joy to the world - a symbol of rejuvenation. This seemed something unusual was impending. I loved this change initially, but slowly I have began a dislike for it.

Aufffffff!

Went off the power. It was fine to stay without power generation as it was too cold. After a couple of hours I felt on the HEAT both within and outside. A day and night passed, still nothing changed except the level of the waters. The city came to a complete halt. Mum and me began storing food as shops ran out if stock and people ran out of patience.

Get the bread or be in pain! Supermarkets became hypermarkets satisfying the 'needs' and not the 'wants' of the public. I understood the uncertainty of this life. The absurdity of this path.... Definitely I believed it is for a strong purpose!

Another day crawled like a giant creeper on your back, paralyzing one of many a requirements. Man's greatest friend and enemy - the gadgets shut down all in a jiffy unable to satisfy any if even their needs. Games, videos, signing up with a 'face' into a book and many 'whatsups' plummeted downward bringing no cheer at all. Now life was boring because we don't KNOW what to do bereft network. We aren't taught that way.

We KNOW to form networks only through social networks.. . The age has taught us that way...

Within two days I realized when one goes powerless, comes the real POWER!!

I enter a flood stricken cathedral. An array of rubbish exhibited with wet and dirty floorings. No one cared for fashionable attire to adorn themselves. Nobody care for any comments.

All they wanted is Normalcy. All yearned for usual Heart beats from the Unusual!

La Maitre est la, et T'appelle

Yes Master, that is your Name. I acknowledge thy presence.....................!!!

Yours Lovingly,

Liss...
