Three Promises
Three Promises
Ritesh stayed in the Aarey colony and went on walks to the Aarey Forest daily. One day he went much ahead of his normal distance, and heard the noise for help,
he went ahead to find a Man, a rat, and a tiger trapped under a broken tree.
They requested him to free them.
He decided to take the risk and save all three. When he saved the man, he promised Ritesh that if he needed help he could contact the man as he was a police officer.
The rat and tiger made similar promises and parted ways.
A few months later, when he was walking, he saw a hunter being attacked by the tiger, recognising the tiger, Ritesh requested him to not harm the hunter.
The tiger fulfilled his promise but before Ritesh left, the tiger gave him a wallet that he found near the river.
The wallet had a lot of money and some documents. Ritesh being a man of his morals, went to the Police Officer( the one who promised him help) and gave the wallet to him.
The Police officer was a corrupt man, he checked the documents and understood they belonged to the businessman who went missing last week.
The officer took all the money and then registered a case under Ritesh and got him arrested.
Ritesh was sad and broken, he could not think of anything to save himself, The rat who was living around the same area, went to the jail to meet Ritesh.
When Ritesh told him his story, the rat came up with a plan, they decided that the rat would destroy the wallet, documents and the FIR registered against Ritesh and this would set Ritesh free.
Also, the corrupt Officer would be arrested as he tried to trap and man without evidence.
Moral: Do not trust every promise.
