The Smile Of Kindness
The Smile Of Kindness
It was a beautiful Monday morning and Nick and Anna were out of bed for their first day at school. A new academic year was to begin today they were excited to meet their new class teacher. Anna and Nick were twins. Anna had a bronze color hair with rosy lips and pink blushed cheeks. She enjoyed watching and comprehending most of her life lessons from the nature. On the other hand, Nick had dark brown hair with chubby cheeks and enjoyed adventure more than the stagnant nature.
They had now set sail, in Nick’s words, for the school and were almost about to reach the gate. They both settled down in their new class looking around for their new teacher. “Ma’am isn’t here yet. Late on the first day?” Nick asked his classmate. “Nah, she is in the staffroom collecting some papers” he replied. “Good Morning class” Nick and Anna’s new class teacher barged in saying so. “Hello there! My name is Caroline and I am going to be your new Life Skills and your new class teacher.” Everyone got up to wish her a good morning but Anna and Nick had their eyes transfixed outside the window.
Caroline walked up to them. “Is there something more important outside the
window?” She asked politely with no intention the insult the siblings. “Yes ma’am. Someone has to climb up that tree to save that kitten.” Caroline peeped outside the window to see the kitten. Poor thing had been crying loud but no one noticed her. Caroline felt pity for the young animal and hurried out to bring down the kitten. It turns out that Caroline was good at sports. With no difficulty, she climbed up the tree and came down with the kitten gently held in her hands. In this process of saving the kitten, Caroline got several scratches yet, there was a smile on her face. The smile of her kindness that reflected back.
All the children gathered around her and praised her for her selfless act. She was now a new savior. We often notice our fellow beings helping one another, but apart from this purpose, the Almighty has created us to help the species that are below our intelligence level. Therefore, it is our duty to care and protect these voiceless souls in the world.
Moral: It doesn’t matter if the person to whom you are kind, helps you back someday. What matters is the initiative you take to help someone who can’t help you back.
