Once in the jungle of Norhern Africa a rabbit cub and a fox cub were living nearer to each other with their moms. Gradually after being older a cordial friendship developed between them. It was a miracle of nature that though one was a prey and another was a hunter, still their concrete friendship was praiseworthy wherefore everyday they were coming out of their respective furrows to gossip together friendly. Their selected place was a big rock laid under a tree nearby.
Their friendship was so strong that their mothers forgot the inborn enmity. This affairs was noticed by a golden eagle sitting on the peak of the hill. The eagle was hungry and wanted to eat the rabbit cub as it's tiffin. So it flew down to the same rock and squated beside the cubs and told, " My dear boys I am too much hungry and want to eat the one of you. Please tell me I cannot wait for long" Then two little cubs were very afraid of the eagle. Rabbit cub was more afraid of. But fox cub chalked out a plan as he was an inborn sly to save his friend's life. Hence he requested the eagle, " Dear Sir I agree with you. But before my death I have a desire to be fulfiilled by you. " The hungry eagle replied, " What is your desire? Tell me frankly. I must fulfill.
Instantly the fox cub suggested, " Dear Eagle Sir please come with me. " So the Eagle followed him and after sometime both of them reached near a bush where the hunter had spread his trap to catch a warthog. Under the trap net he scattered some root vegetables to lure the warthogs. Then the foxling requested the Eagle, " Dear Sir kindly bring one root veg for me as I want to taste it just before dying. The eagle was feeling extreme hungry by that time. So he at once leaped on to the trap and was fully entrapped. The Eagle was quite unable to come out of the hunter's trap and began to screech. Then the sly foxling clapped his hand and started laughing tauntingly. He told, " Dear Sir you are a downright fool. You didn't understand my trickery at all my dear foolish Sir. Let me go back to my mom she is waiting for me in our den. " Saying that much the foxling went away. The eagle was only flapping his wings
to escape but in vain. By the time the hunter arrived on the spot and carried away the Golden Eagle to make his pet.
