Once upon a time, there lived a noble and very kind king. In his kingdom, the people were delighted and were very happy. The king helped his subjects and his people a lot. One day, a thought struck the king’s mind. He was very tensed and terrified. He was getting too old and didn’t have children to inherit his throne. So, he came up with an idea. That very moment, He asked his mantri to announce and inform everyone, “Whoever likes to be the king of this kingdom, has to come tomorrow morning for the interview.”

Everyone heard the announcement and excitedly started preparing for the interview. A poor man, while returning from work also heard the announcement. He was very poor and earned very little money for his living. He had a small hut for shelter and he wore the same dirty and torn clothes every day. He couldn’t wear such dirty clothes in front, of the king, thinking this, he went and bought a good suit for himself, for which he had to spend more than half of his earned money.

The next day, he wore his suit, practiced his lines again, and took off. On the way to the palace, he saw a beggar sitting on the street asking for help. Everyone except, Ramu (the poor man), was ignoring the beggar. Ramu asked the beggar that what did he want? The beggar asked timidly for some money and some proper clothing. Ramu thought twice, but his final decision was to help the beggar. He wore off the good suit, which he was wearing, and took a little money out of his pocket. He gave the suit and the money to the beggar. The beggar thanked and blessed Ramu. But, Ramu was again in his old ragged clothes.

He continued on his path to the castle. At the gate, he told the guard, that he was here for the interview. The guard allowed him an entrance. Ramu was ashamed and frightened because of his clothes. But when he saw the king’s face his timidness turned into astonishment. The face of the king was entirely the same as the beggar’s face. The king came to Ramu as said, “yes, you are right, I was the beggar on the street, to which you gave all your clothes and money.” Ramu pleased that why was the king dressed as a beggar. The king told Ramu, that it was a test, he wanted a kind person to be the king. And among all, only Ramu has passed the test. And therefore, he will be announced as the new king. Hearing this, Ramu reached the 7th cloud.
