They have done it again, this is incredible, how do they manage to achieve all these with such meagre resources they have. . . . Oh really amazing!! These were the comments passed by Kumud and her brothers Chakri and Inder.                 . . . . . . . . . .  . . . .

Now let us flash back to around' 20 odd years.

Larry and his wife Liza along with their 8 children of all sizes and age had shifted from the beautiful city of Goa to a neighborhood happening big city. They rented a comfortable house with good Neighbors (Kumuds family being one among them)the children were well behaved and hardworking too. Alice, the lady of the family used to cook delicious, mouth watering food most of the time and she used to be very punctual with all her duties what with such a huge family to be attended to. Larry was an employee at a Small company so obviously the salary he got might not be too good in monetary terms I mean. But the beauty of the entire family was they were so cheerful, happy and always on the go.

Each member of the family was assigned their duty by Alice which they all followed without a blink that is what we call discipline. They purchased grocery from the fair price shop, bought garments mostly during annual sale, used to travel either by bicycles or local transport. Now comes the most important part of their daily routine. Everyday before dinner they all used to gather in their so called drawing room which was done up quite well with whatever they had and full marks to their creativity. The main reason being the prayer they used to chant which went something like 'holy mother' and so on.

The prayer was so soothing to hear and recited with one tone it was indeed moving. Initially Kumud and other kids used to stand outside their window and tease them as they started their prayer which irked the family obviously but soon these kids used to just used to run to their home as they started their prayers just to listen it was mesmerizing. Need less to say. As the years flew Larry's children completed their studies with good grades. Each one of them got good jobs where one of the girl child got a job in RBI as a steno ( she had stood first in the state in short hand), cleared the bank exam and so got the job, one son shifted to Australia, the other one to Africa and so on.

Today when Kumud and her brothers really wonder how their life transformed from humble beginnings to superb living. All this because of their grit, discipline, ambition and above all the prayer they chanted without fail everyday sincerely. Do we have any doubt??
