Rita, Seema, and Vidya were getting ready for a wedding to which they were invited. "I wonder what sweets are available." Said Vidya, the youngest. "Ok" said their mother. " But don't spoil your appetite. When they reached the wedding, they walked over to the sweet counter and tucked in. Soon, the ring ceremony started. But what was this? Only the groom was standing on the stage sadly. He picked up the mike and said "Your attention, please. I am sorry to say that my to-be wife is kidnapped and the person who finds her or at least hires a detective to find her will get a reward of 2 crores. Till then this wedding is canceled. I am sorry."

There was havoc everywhere. "Let's look in their car" said Seema. The other two agreed. They found a paper stuck to it. On it was written:

I have kidnapped your wife. It is a ransom for 50 thousand crores. My phone number is: 1267890374. And if you call the police, she is dead.

Signed,

The kidnapper.

"I know how to save her!" Gasped Rita. She poured out the plan to her sisters. Can you guess it?

They went to the police station instead of calling 100 for safety. They told the police to track the phone number that was written on the paper and so they did. The girls whispered and giggled at their first life-saving effort. It was so exciting! The kidnapper was caught the next day and the chief inspector even called them smart, witty and modest!

They laughed and laughed.

When the wedding resumed, they forgot their mother's words and spoilt their appetite like anything! But there is another good thing that these girls did. They did not accept the 2 crores from the groom and went home laughing at what the Inspector had said.
