The Meeting of Right Things

 Shekhar was not happy with his day to day routine. He used to study all day and night but still he could not come at the top of the class.

It was Shekhar’s vacations, his mom told him to study and come at the top. But he has lost hope.

Shekhar always thought,” This world is so boring. Nobody has time to play with me; Even if I try to take a nap, the horrible noises don’t let me do so. If I look out of the window, the huge heaps of garbage, polluted rivers, and black smoke is the on thing that could be seen”

Now he was all negative about his world.

One day he was going to buy vegetables. His mood was as usual not good. On the way to the vegetable market, He met a sage.

The sage asked the boy,“Dear little one, why are you so upset? What is the matter?”

Shekhar told him all about his problem.

“What would I do?” he asked.

“O, little boy, I’ll take you to a place where you will know how beautiful your world is” the sage said.

The sage went. Shekhar followed. They walked and walked until they reached a beautiful mountain.

“There are so less people here. Why is it so?”, asked Shekhar.

“That’s why it is so beautiful” replied the sage.

“What do you mean?” asked Shekhar curiously.

“This means that Earth is beautiful, but we have spoiled it.”, replied the sage patiently.

“So, if we have spoilt it, can’t we make it right?”, asked Shekhar.

“We sure can but only when all cooperate.” replied the sage.

“But no one does.”, said Shekhar sadly.

That’s when an idea struck in the sage’s mind.

“I have an idea!” exclaimed the sage., “We could have a meeting!”.

Otes agreed. They went to the city and kept a meeting.

“Residents of the city”, sage said starting the meeting., “I and Shekhar went to an abandoned place and realized how beautiful the Earth was and how we humans have spoiled it.”

“And we can fix it if we all cooperate.” said Shekhar.

“But we have to reduce the pollution and we can’t stop the production of our important needs which cause pollution.” , said one resident.

“If we can’t stop it, at least we should not throw the garbage in the river or the grounds. We can keep it in a separate place or landfill.”, said the said the sage.

Everyone agreed. They started putting the garbage in the landfills.

Now everyone including Shekhar were living happily in a clean environment.
