The Magic Tree

Once upon a time, there lived three friends in a small village. Their names were Darsh, Ankit and Mina. They were very helpful. They played together and helped each other. They very adventurous and curious. They did different activities like, planting trees, making different things, and more.

One day they were playing in the park. Suddenly, a small rat appeared and said ‘‘Now I have become very old and…” He couldn’t speak very properly. “follow me.”, it said and took them to a very strange cave. There, the rat suddenly disappeared. Then, a small box came flying to them by magic. When they opened the box, they found some rocks with some magic powder on it.

There, they also found a letter in the box. It read, “Seeds in the garden, The Magic Tree in the park”

“Seems as a riddle.”, said Darsh.

“What do they mean by ‘Seeds’?, asked Ankit.

“I think the rocks are the seeds.”, said Mina.

“So lets go!”, exclaimed everybody and sowed all the seeds in the ground.

The next day, they went to the same place to play. Suddenly, a huge flash of light came from the place they had sowed the seeds. It was The Magic Tree! There was one thing special about the tree. Nobody can see it accept the three friends. The tree could talk to them without opening it’s mouth!

The kids told their parents about The Magic Tree but the parents didn’t believe them. The kids went to the park everyday and took care of the tree. They gave it water everyday, talked it daily and shared experiences of their adventures.

One day, it started to rain very heavily. The day after the rains, they went to the park.

But the tree was not talking to them. It was not feeling well. It started feeling well after a few days. Days went by like this. All was fine until now. One day, they were playing in the park and heard a strange noise,“THUD THUD THUD”. The boys went in search of the source of the sound.

Deep into the forest they went. The noise was gradually increasing. Finally, they found the source of the noise. It was the noise of woodcutters. They were cutting the trees in the forest. They pleaded them and tried to persuade to stop cutting the trees. But they were very mean but all their effort was in vain.

They went on cutting the trees and finally they reached The Magic Tree. The woodcutters tried cutting the tree but they were unable to do so. They ignored it and went ahead.

According to the book of magic, if someone tries to break the magic of any plant or tree, the magic will only exist 48 hours and after that, the plant or the tree will lose its magic and after losing the magic, the tree would become a normal tree and could be easily cut.

Then, the kids said some magical words that the rat told them. After saying the magical words, the rat appeared. They asked the rat for some help. The rat told them some magical words. “If you use these words, a ghost will come.”, said the rat. “And if you want to control it, use these words.”, said rat telling the children some magical words.

Only 42 hours were left for the tree to lose the magic.

The kids told the plan to the tree.

The next day, the kids spoke the magical words and the ghost appeared. They commanded the ghost about their plan. The tree was controlling the ghost.

At the park, the ghost went and said, “Woooooh, I am the soul of the trees you had cut.” “If you don’t want to die, then immediately grow hundred and one trees or all the souls of the trees will come here.”

The woodcutters were scared and tried to run. But the ghost stopped the woodcutters and said, “Why are you in a hurry to run? Let's talk a little, Wooooooh”, and then the ghost took the woodcutters to the kids. The kids explained to them, “Trees help us clear the pollution. Trees give us oxygen. Trees help in rain. Trees are everything for us, then why to cut them? Do some other business but don’t cut trees.”

The woodcutters apologized for their mistake and gave up their axes. They promised that they will never cut trees in the future. The Magic Tree regained it’s magic and it thanked the kids for saving its life. Everybody lived happily ever after.
