The Magic Words

The magic word: "We are always grateful to God."

Hello everyone, I hope all are doing well.

Just the other day, I was teaching my daughter about the topic "we must be grateful" in value education. "Grateful means thankful," I explained to her. After teaching her, a thought occurred to me about how lightly we often take this word, and sometimes even dismiss it. Instead of showing gratitude, we might display attitude, questioning whether it's necessary.

"Thank you" - The Magic Word

The phrase "Thank you" holds immense power.

It can bring so much happiness to others and also helps to reflect or enhance our entire personality, showcasing how positive, down-to-earth, and kind we are. Most importantly, it demonstrates the respect we have for others' feelings and efforts they put forth for us.

Why is it called the magic word? Because it highlights only our positivity, revealing who we truly are deep down inside.

I'd like to share a recent moment that emphasizes the importance of this word. In the past week, it was the anniversary of someone I greatly admire. I called her to convey my wishes, but she couldn't answer at the time. So, I sent her a message instead. After a few hours, she returned my call and expressed so much gratitude. I felt incredibly happy, and the next morning, she sent me a "Thank you" message as well. Trust me, even if she hadn't responded, I wouldn't have felt bad because she is my senior, and I believe that when you do something for your elders, it should be done with pleasure, without expecting anything in return. Her gesture of gratitude brought me immense happiness, and I am equally thankful and blessed to have her in my life.

The takeaway is that we should be thankful to everyone, especially those who make efforts for us. I want to tell everyone, including myself, that we should not hesitate to say "Thank you." We should always show our gratitude.
