The Lost World

On a Sunday I was playing video games on my TV. But still I was feeling bored, my dad told that we are heading to my grandparents’ house, I thought it is going to be one more boring Sunday, so I went to dad and asked him to take us to watch a movie instead, but he said that every time they visit we’ve not visited their house for a long time, so we headed to my grandparents’ house, but I was upset. When we reached their I just went to living room and just watch TV, but when I entered I found that there was an old radio, some old armors, ancient statues and antique stuff, so I went to dad and asked him that what I can do here as grandfather was not in home, still he said that “go and ask your grandmother how to entertain yourself in such time “, so I started searching for her when I entered her bedroom it was full of black and white photo frames, so I got excited and I sat beside her and this is how our conversation started.                                         

Grandmother: hi dear how was your Sunday morning. 

Me: Very cool because I got a bonus point in my favorite video game.

Grandmother: You should not play or watch things which have radiation.

Me: umm…uh…ok. 

Grandmother: good, instead do some exercise.

Me: I don’t like to do exercise.

Grandmother: You should exercise it helps our mind refresh and cheer up and it makes our health good. 

Me: ok I will exercise 

Grandmother: good…

Me: Grandma the black and white frames I saw while entering are very strange I’ve never seen such black and white photos.

Grandmother: oh…so you want to know about the lost world.

Me: yeah! I am excited to know about it.

Grandmother: ok so you asked me about the photos. The photos you saw were of my grandparents, my father, my mother etc. They are black and white because in olden times the photos used to be in only these colors even movies used to be black and white and silent too.

Me: so the movies might be not understandable.

Grandmother: no child it used to be understandable because the actors used to act so nice.

Me: wow! Can you show me some more photos? 

Grandmother: yes, I have a whole album

(While grandma was showing me her collection I found my father’s photo which he shot when he was my age he was looking same as me, but one thing I found odd was that he was looking more healthier and taller so I asked grandma how… here is what she replied)

Grandmother: because he was not lazy in lost world video games were not their I know TVs were there but in TVs the channels used to be just one or two not as many as now so the children used entertain their selves by playing in the ground .

Me: wow now I am interested in lost world more.

(Then I found one more unique photo which was of my grandma’s childhood)

Me: In this photo behind you there is a jungle or something right?

Grandmother: no dear it is just a normal place where I used to live but the people who have not seen the lost world will not understand that is it a jungle or a normal area which is now a society, the lost world used to be so green and people used to believe that trees and plants are our green friends because of that they used get rain as much as they want and places not used to be drought and also they used to get enough food.

Me: oh wow now I want to just go in the lost world oh…

(Just then mom called us for lunch then me and grandma went in the dining room and when I got to the dining table there was no cheese pasta or any other food which I like instead there was a big dish of salad and one big dish of rice and some grains fried so here is what I asked grandma)

Me: grandma do you have any number of a restaurant or something by which I can buy some fast food?

Grandmother: Oh yeah you asked me about your dad’s health and one more reason was that he used to eat healthy meal not junk meal.

Me: ok then I will also eat healthy food from now.

Grandmother: good

(After lunch I was thinking too much about lost world and it made me so crazy that I wanted a time machine to go in past and check the lost world but then I told grandma about my thought but just then she said that you can make our today’s world into lost world)

Me: really?

Grandmother: yes we can make our today’s world into lost world by using cycles as much as we can and using less things which have radiation, playing outdoor games and the most important ones planting trees instead of deforestation. It will help us in many ways such as 

It will help give us water means trees make clouds to rain.It give us more and healthy foodIt will increase the oxygen levelMe: but we have to take care of plants as people used to do in lost world 

Grandmother: No in lost world the trees used take care of people in lost world that is because people in today’s world plant saplings in their balconies and sometimes they even forget to water them but in lost world people used to plant them under nature so they get all nutrients they want. 

(after that we have to leave and when we reached home after dinner in my bed I thought an idea of making today’s world lost world in very next day in the evening I called my friends and told them about my wonderful Sunday and I told them that we are not going to meet online in the video games we will meet in the playground and I also told them to bring some saplings with them)

One of my friends: I know we’re going to plant these saplings because as you explained us about the importance of plants

Me: yes 

(After planting we felt so nice that we decided to plant saplings every holiday)
