The Golden Beetle

A boy named Tony was a very honest and intelligent boy. He liked to collect insects and search about them. He had many beetles, he liked to collect beetles more than other insects. He had all types of beetles but, he didn’t have a golden beetle. He asked his father to take him to Uttarakhand. He went there, to search more about the golden beetle in the field of flower plantation, forest, and room in the hiss of Uttarakhand. But, he had no luck. After some months he asked his father, “father can you take me to Himachal Pradesh” please! “Why not dear,” said father. He went there, he first went to the flower plantation, he found the golden beetle, he was so, happy! He was full of delight and wonder.

         When he was at the airport, he saw an old scientist. Tony peeped in and saw what he was searching about the golden beetle, he was not able to find or search about it. Tony said ‘Scientist uncle what’s your name?” ‘My name is Dr. Vinod the scientist.’ I am not able to find the golden beetle! I am searching for it for many years. Tony was very upset by hearing the story of the old Scientist. He went to his father and asked for the golden beetle. His father refused him to give the golden beetle. Tony shared the full story about the old scientist to his father, Tony’s father got very sad and gave the golden beetle. Tony, in turn, gave the beetle to the old scientist, he was so happy. The scientist took him to the insect museum that was made by him. Tony was very delighted to learn that the said golden beetle will be adored at the place of the museum and the scientist is going to give the golden beetle, he called him “Tony”.

Moral – Helping others is helping yourself.
