Once upon a time, there was an old woman who lived by begging. One fortunate day, a rich woman gave her four bowls of rice, the old woman was very happy. She ate three bowls of rice and kept the fourth bowl of rice for the next day. On the next day, as she went to have breakfast, she discovered that the last bowl of rice was stolen. From that day onward whatever she saved was stolen. After some months she finally decided to get help. So, she set out to the jungle with a bag of puffed rice.

On the way she met a frog. “Where are you going old lady?” said the frog. The old lady told the frog everything that had happened. “Put me in your bag so that I can help, let’s go pick my friend the crab” said the frog. So, the old lady picked the crab and took off for her house. On the way, the frog told the old lady to pick up a razor

and some cow-dung. The old woman obeyed without question. In front of her house the frog told the old woman to throw the dung on the floor and the razor in the grass. He also told the old woman to put the crab in a bucket of water. All they needed to do was wait for the thief to come.

That night when the thief came, he stepped on the dung in front of the house. Disgusted, he went over to the grass to wipe his feet but instead got his foot cut of by the razor. He finally saw the bucket of water and limped towards it to wash his leg, but the crab pinched his leg. At that moment the woman threw a piece of glass in the fire and it came blasting out as hot, fiery bullets on the thief. Then the old lady came out with a stick and gave a sound thrashing to the thief. The thief ran away and the old woman lived happily ever after.
