Small Town Boy

Devanshu was glad and emotional after receiving the "Best Employee Award" in his company's annual award function at a magnificent, grand hotel in Manhattan. With the glittering trophy in one hand and a drink in other, he was about to settle down when the MD of the company Mr Avneesh came to sit with him. "Congrats Devanshu! Great Job! Company is fortunate to have a talented and hard working engineer like you who make us one of the best in the industry!" he said. "Oh thank you so much Sir!"

Smiling Devanshu said. "And congratulations to you too for winning the Best Leader Award!". "Thanks, by the way where in India do you belong to originally?" Mr Avnish asked out of curiosity. "Sir, Lucknow." Devanshu Replied. "OH, OK, wherein Lucknow exactly?" Avnish asked in an apparent excited and curious tone. "Actually Sir, I am from a small town called Ram Nagar near Lucknow. But a lot of people don't know that. So I usually say Lucknow for convenience."

Devanshu's voice has little hesitation and guilt of belonging to a small town. "Awesome! Did you also study in Vidya Mandir of Ram Nagar?" Avnish's question caught Devansu by surprise and then there was laughter in the air.
