Romi And Floods

Once there was a boy named Romi. He believed to face problems bravely and helping others whenever possible. One day Romi was coming from school to home and noticed the heavy rainfall. He thought that he could get round of it easily but he was wrong. His friend Teja advised him to stay back to his home but he refused because he had to take medicine for his father. Romi took his cycle and went on. Now it started raining heavily. It overflowed on roads.

At first, the water was shallow and sluggish so Romi didn't have to face many difficulties,but the level started increasing. Just then Romi heard a voice"Help! Please". Romi followed the voice. It was aunty Grima with her daughter Shreya in her arms. Uncle Vikash had gone to the city for some work. In an accident, Aunty Grima broke her leg. It was now becoming difficult for her to walk in such a situation.

But everyone ignored her piercing calls. Romi decided to help her. He went and hold Shreya in her arms and helped Aunty Garima to get out of water. Then, he took the bucket and started throwing out water. When everyone saw this, they felt ashamed of themselves. They decided from now onwards to help everyone in need. And so all the people helped those stuck in flood. When the floodwater receded, people praised Romi for setting an example of being brave and selfless. Romi was awarded too for making everyone realise the value of helping.
