The Three Friends

Once upon a time, there lived a girl named Anna. She was a very kind, but unfortunately she had no friends. One day, she was coming home from school, but she lost her way back home. There was no one around. So, she decided to sit under a tree and decide the way to get back home.

On the same tree, lived a sparrow. She too had no friends like her. When she saw Anna, she decided to approach her. She flew down and asked, "Hi, can I know what is your name? At first,Anna was a bit frightened and did not reply anything. But soon she realise that the sparrow had no intention of hurting her. She replied," Hello, My name is Anna. The sparrow now asked" Can we be friends? "Yeah sure, why not" replied Anna. They both were on cloud nine. The sparrow added" I can help you to get a way out of this forest. Anna agreed.

On their way they saw a snake, He too had no friends. He asked if he, too, could be their friend. They happily agreed. But one day, there were two hunters who came to rest under the tree. The sparrow was feeding her babies. The hunters were very hungry, and so decided to eat her babies. The sparrow now became very worried. She gave a call to Anna, who was there with the snake in no time. They had made a plan to deal with the hunters. The snake hid behind the tree. As soon as the hunters tried to climb the tree, the snake came out. The hunters really got scared. They ran away, and Anna followed them. Soon they got tired,and they met Anna.

Anna saw them and said "Get out of this forest. The eggs which you were trying to eat is actually his meal. If you stay here one more minute, he is going to kill you. If you love your life, run away. "The hunters got even more scared. They agreed and did as told. The sparrow thanked both friends for helping her. Someone has said the truth that "A friend in need is a friend indeed."
