What did you do as a child that you loved? Think hard and long on your childhood. Most of the time, you knew what you wanted to do or attain before you were even a teenager. It doesn’t have to be a job or money, maybe you just wanted a super nice Hot Wheels car that always stuck out to you. Or a horse. You should go after these longings. Whatever is it you want, imagine if a child asked you if they could accomplish it?What would you tell that child if they wanted a horse? Be honest. Your answer shows if you’ve given up. Stop saying I can’t and start saying “How can I?” Man is most nearly himself when he achieves the seriousness of a child at play. -Heraclitus. You need that inner child from within. You need to come to terms and achieve whatever it is you wanted as a child.

Did you want that specific breed of dog? What about being a Pokémon trainer?

It’s all possible in one way or another.

The childlike dreams you’ve suppressed and inner child you hide is bad for you. Children have no limitations that society places on us as we grow older. They are ambitious, and they speak their mind. They try to find alternate routes to paths we say No to. They are persistent. They don’t segregate. Look at Sir Richard Branson. The guy is 68 and I saw him parasailing a few days ago. How many people will still be working to find their dreams or achieve that bucket list at 68?

What stops you from living now?Show me a child that isn’t constantly happy and playing. A child that isn’t loving life and smiling all the time. We need this part of ourselves to stay truly alive. We need to tell our children that they CAN create Facebook, that they CAN create Amazon, that they CAN win 5 gold Olympic medals for swimming, they CAN get a Lamborghini.

Stop being a grouch to your inner child and children around you. Stop shooting dreams down because you aren’t living yours. Maybe Santa is real. You can be whatever it is you want to be. “If you don’t prioritize your life, someone else will”Gary McKeown, He is in Control of His Life. You need to act NOW.
