Responsibilities...

Piku was standing outside her house. Life had become so squeezed because of this virus attack..!! No outings, no parties, no movies, no outside foods or gossips too..!!

But what would she do with all these..? She had no friends with whom she ever goes out or spends some time. Years before she had been to a movie with her parents. That time she had her mother with her. But after her death; Piku seemed away from the entire world...

But she was happy. Though she didn't have any siblings or friends, she had a child. An old-aged child... Who was her father? The day her mom left them was the day when the daughter became the mother.

Piku took great care of her father. Never left him alone except when she went to her college. And when she got a job, she took him to her office and made him sit inside her chamber.

Life was moving in its own flow. But coronavirus made a turn. Piku had to stay at home for the lockdown. She had to do a lot of work from home for her office. By this time her father seemed to be very bored. His time was in a way still. But what to do?

And that day...

It was his birthday. And Piku's father was very sad. No-one could come to wish him. He couldn't go anywhere. He went on scolding everybody without any cause and even denied to have food. Piku was very worried. What should she do? Unwillingly she shouted at him and just like a little boy, her father went to the bed and didn't come out at all... 

Piku looked at the sky blankly. She had a lot of work left. But her father was getting bored on his birthday..!! It was her responsibility to solve this problem... She had to do something.

With a strong determination to solve the problem, she came back and searched for her father's friends, classmates, and colleagues on social media. She made friends with them and formed a group. Then she went to call her father softly...

As a small boy he came. And when he saw all his friends together he was very astonished, excited, and happy..!! He started laughing loudly. Time became very short.

But Piku was very happy now. She was successful in engaging her father in his age-group..!! She realized the value of friends in life. She had never thought of this before, but now she also tried to make some friends online and offline. So that she will never be alone in her life too..!!
