NOPE, I DIDN'T

Rahul’s best friend Raj, who is also his classmate, once told him that he wanted to shift to another school. They were studying together in a government school and the other school he was mentioning was a famous private school where some celebrities' kids study. Few days later, he again told Rahul that his dad was trying to get him into that school. He also warned Rahul not to tell that to anyone.

One week passed by, and Raj didn’t come to the school. So, Rahul assumed that he shifted to the other school. Rahul's classmates kept asking him where was his friend. He refused to tell them. One nosy guy in his classroom gave him his sandwich, and then asked him where Raj was, and Rahul immediately told him that Raj had shifted to another school. Soon the news spread like wildfire to almost every student, teacher and the Principal of the school. The next day, Rahul enters his classroom and found his friend Raj sitting there. He told Rahul that he had cancelled the plan of shifting the school as he liked being in this school with Rahul.

And that day, all of their classmates and teachers kept asking him what was he doing here. Raj was so confused about how they all got to know that he was trying to shift. He asked Rahul if he told that to anyone. Rahul said "NOPE, I DIDN’T". That day, the Principal called Raj's father and asked him why his son came back to this school. He also scolded them that if they could afford private schools why did they bring their son here. Raj's father pleaded to the principal to allow his son to continue to study in the same school. Raj was very angry on what happened. He was hell bent on finding out who had leaked the information.

He asked a couple of students and teachers on how they got to know about it. They all said it was the nosy guy to whom Rahul had told . Before talking to the Nosy guy, Raj again asked Rahul if he had told the Nosy guy about him shifting the school. Again, he said "NOPE, I DIDN’T". Raj then asked the Nosy guy.

After few minutes, Rahul saw Raj coming towards him. Rahul was very nervous. But Raj didn’t seem to be angry at all. He aksed Rahul to play arm wrestling with him. Rahul said he was not in the mood right now. Raj insisted on playing. Then, they played. Raj suddenly twisted Rahul's wrist, broke it and went away angrily. The next day, Rahul heard from his classmates that Raj had shifted to another school. Rahul tried to call him but he didn’t pick the phone. There came an end to a beautiful but complicated friendship.
