Moon Is Mine

Maggie was the younger sister of Medina, daughter of Mr and Mrs Ellis. She was a miracle in their family. Maggie had a birthmark of a half-moon on her palm. She loved the moon a lot and was always requesting her father to take her to the moon. It was really possible for her father to take her to the moon as he was an astronaut who had visited the moon several times.

Maggie used to tell her elder sister Medina and her mother, that in her dream she could see a palace on the moon in which there was a big Royal chair on which a girl of about 15 years sits. And the most captivating thing was that she looked the same as Maggie. Maggie used to also say that when she looked at the moon, the moon talked to her. Mrs Ellis and Medina used to never believe her. She was so tiny that no one felt that she could really see all this, Mrs. Ellis used to always say that Maggie likes the moon so she could see the moon everywhere.

Maggie was only five years old and her sister was fourteen but the bonding between them was such that they were twins. One day Maggie had a great idea. She told her sister that she can show her all her dreams. Medina was surprised to know and was excited to see. For Medina to see Maggie's dream, she had to draw a half-moon on her palm same as Maggie's birthmark and both had to sleep catching hands.

The next morning Medina caught unawares as she could really see a palace on the heavenly body. Medina told all this to Mrs Ellis who thought both her daughters had gone crazy. Maggie promised to show her dreams to her mother as well.

Then as decided, Mrs Ellis was the next soul to watch people on the moon. That night Mrs Ellis could also see what Maggie used to tell. She was startled to see the life on the moon and the princess of the moon who looked the same as Maggie. Now, Mrs Ellis had also gone crazy and wanted to know why Maggie could see all these things. She then requested her husband to take them to the moon.

Mr Ellis was not agreeing to visit the moon and also glow had faded from his face. After initial opposition, he was ready to take them to the moon but unwillingly. The next day, the spaceship was ready for them and all oxygen cylinders were also in place. That was the time for them to visit the moon. Maggie was very happy and thrilled to hear this news.

Finally, they reached the moon, all had oxygen cylinders but Maggie removed it and she was able to breathe without it, also she could stand on the surface of the moon. This amazed all and suddenly Maggie grew in size and her dress changed into a beautiful silver dress. All the lunary people came towards her and shouted with joy, "Our princess is back!" Medina and Mrs Ellis were shocked to see all this.

Then Maggie turned to Mr Ellis and asked him why he had done that. Medina and Mrs Ellis were shocked again. Then Maggie hold their hands one by one so that all could stand and breathe without oxygen. Then Mr Ellis answered," Sorry Luna, I acted very greedy and carried you on earth, it was said that wherever you go, money comes there so I took you to earn money. Also, your age was going to decrease as you reach Earth. Your age decreased from 15 to 5 as you reached Earth.

Luna was the original name of Maggie. She said," Now it's fine, because of you I got my mum and dad. My real mum and dad are dead. No one can die on the moon but they had gone to Mars and never returned from their back. They have gone to heaven." Medina and Mrs Ellis couldn't believe their eyes and ears. Then Luna requested them to live on the moon as she didn't want to lose her new parents and sister. Ellis family agreed and they all lived on the moon forever happily.
