Rose was sitting next to her brother in the car. They both were playing Ludo. Rose was a kind and sweet girl and his brother was also kind and loving. During the car ride, Rose got bored and asked her mother to narrate her a story. Her mother started narrating a story called life.

Once there lived a farmer named Manohar. He worked all day and night burning the midnight oil. He wanted to earn enough money to be able to provide the fees for the school where his daughter studied. He used to only eat rice and dal for lunch and dinner and bread crumbs for breakfast. His wife had died while giving birth, so he was a very lonely man as his daughter was always engrossed in studies or books. Her favourite subject was English and Math. Her favourite book was the Billionaire Boy.

One day, the king of the Jaisalmer held a competition called life. He wanted every person in the city to participate in it to see the sorrow and happiness of all the people. Manohar decided to take part in it. He thought about it and discussed it with his daughter. So then he thought for a day and decided to take part. He journeyed to Jaisalmer and stayed at the guest house. There he met a couple called Ruby and Richard. They both were very poor like him and had 3 children.

The next day the competition started, and he had to write a story, so he wrote the story of his life, the sorrows and the despairs. The king read that and called Manohar and rewarded him 50 gold coins to make his field where he grew crops even bigger and more nourished.

Rose heard the story and felt happy about the farmers' happiness now coming in his life. They had reached their competition and now it was Rose's turn to write her own story of life.
