Letter To The Child Inside You
Letter To The Child Inside You
Sure! Here's a revised version of the letter:
Dear Junior,
Every night, I find myself talking to you, reminiscing about the sweet memories we shared. You give me the courage to face each new day.
Our late-night conversations bring back all those stories and adventures we experienced together. If I could time travel, I would rush back to you, and we could embark on so many journeys side by side. I often think about how I could have prevented some of the injuries you faced during our escapades and enjoyed every fun moment with you.
We'd still gather to hear all those stories from Grandma and savor the delicious treats Mom made, while playing gully cricket together.
I'm still in touch with our old friends, and Arun often thanks you for saving his life that day in the bull cart accident. You were so innocent and brave. I try to embody that spirit, but my mind often holds me back from taking those risks.
Only two people know our secrets—me and you. I remember your smile even after you fractured your hand and punctured your head. I think of you running through the woods trying to catch that fox, despite Dad's punishment, and the time you bravely entered that haunted house, only to find nothing inside.
Some memories are too secret to even write down.
I'm still striving to be that superhero, though the definition has changed. I've unraveled some childhood mysteries: the cobra in the backyard was a Monocled Cobra; the "alien craft" we saw was just a Chinese lantern; the black monkey we spotted from school was a Nilgiri Langur, though I still wonder how it ended up there; and the big bird in Grandma's backyard was a pheasant, while the spotted one was a female Koel.
Thank you for all the beautiful memories. There was never a dull moment with you. Whenever I feel anxious, you come to mind and inspire me. I don't recall when you became a part of me, but as long as you're with me, I know I'll always find happiness.
With gratitude,
Yourself
