KRISHNA: A GUIDE FOR THE MODERN MIND
The Divine Child, the Eternal Friend, the Supreme Teacher, and the Heart of Vishnu Bhakti
Author's Note & Personal Disclaimer
I am not a scholar or a theologian. I am simply a seeker trying to do my humble bit to share what I have read, reflected upon, and experienced.
The true spark for this journey came from my niece,  whose curious questions provoked me to dive deeper. As I began researching for her, I realized what a brave and daunting task I was undertaking-it felt like someone who barely knows how to walk attempting to climb Mount Everest!
Yet, remembering my late father-a devoted follower of Lord Vishnu and Lord Krishna who spent hours handwrittenly writing out Sanskrit shlokas, reciting the Narayaneeyam and Srimad Bhagavatam-I felt a gentle inner push to honor that heritage. If this work brings clarity, comfort, or joy to even a single heart, that will be the greatest happiness I could ever receive as a writer.
With humility and love.
CHAPTER 1: From Vishnu to Krishna-Many Names, One Supreme Reality
In our daily lives, we call the Divine by many sacred names-Perumal, Vishnu, Krishna, Ranganatha, Govinda.
Think about how a single person holds multiple roles within a family. A person is a child to their parents, a spouse to their partner, a parent to their child, a sibling, and a friend. The faces and the relationships change, but the core person remains the very same.
In the same way, the ultimate Supreme Reality-the Brahman-expresses itself through countlessly beautiful names and forms:
As Vishnu, the preserver and protector maintaining cosmic order.
As Rama, the ideal prince and human embodiment of righteous duty (Maryada Purushottama).
As Krishna, the complete manifestation of divine love, playfulness, wisdom, and grace.
Whether we call Him Govinda, Perumal, or Ranganatha, our voices reach the exact same divine source.
Radhe Krishna!
