Today our government has declared that every female (means girl child or women) should be given respect in our society. But before the declaration of this law how were women’s or girl child was treated. So once upon time [ around 19-20 century in an old village in India] a woman lived named Daoulti Devi, she was not much beautiful but she was intelligent. When she was young (about 10-11 years) she saw the boys going to school, she always sat beside the classroom window to learn what the teacher is teaching or guru is teaching.

But accidentally one day her father saw her and he scolded her and the worse thing happened that his father given her a slap. Her father never scolded her and she had never thought that his father will give her a tight slap. After that incident, she asked her father that, “Papa mai kyu nahi un ladhko ke sath padh sakti?” means she asked, “Father why I can’t study with those boys?”. Her father silently walked away from there. That night she saw that her Papa and Maa were talking, she listened quietly that (Her mother speaking in Hindi), “Hamari beti kyu nahi padh sakti?” means, “Why our daughter can’t study?” her father said, “Hamara samaj kya usee padhne dega kya?” means, “Our society will let her study?”.

Then she thought that who made this rule that girls or women can’t go to school to study. The next day her father married her with a boy of age 18-20 years, she shouted that, “Mai is ladhke se shadi nahi karna chahti, mujhe padhna hai!” means, “I don’t want to get married with him, I want to study!” then her father got angry and scolded her. But her husband treated very badly like he always scolded about anything what she has done wrong or sometimes he beat her. She got depressed and sad.

I will end this part of the story here but I will write the second part after sometime
