Once, the five fingers on a hand had a heated argument to decide who among them was the best and greatest. The thumb finger argued: "I am essential for eating, writing, and for grasping any object." The index (fore) finger said, "I am essential to point to any object and to indicate that a thing is the first and the best."
The middle finger asserted, "I am definitely the longest, a natural leader. The ring finger said, "I am the symbol of love, romance, marriage, and family life. I am decorated with the golden ring during the marriage."
The little finger said, "Though small, I am not the least or the last. I am the most beautiful, tender, and graceful finger. I stay in the front in a folded hand. Finally, the owner of the hand intervened,
"Each of you is essential, important, and dear to me. God created you differently, but when you work together, you can achieve wonderful things.
