We all are different from each other. The difference of money, sex, race, colour, and creed lies deep within.

I have read biographies of Nelson Mandela and Gandhi. What to do, I was fond of reading since childhood. But was their life able to get justice for public?

The poor system of society is hardly successful in eliminating this distinction. Everything is equal on paper pens and in documents. But the reality is miles away from it. I still remember the incident of class 3 when I was told by a boy not to sit on his seat as I was dark. Yes, I am dark, but I could not understand at that time and started to cry. Then my short height refrained me from playing volleyball and cricket even though I wanted to. For all of this, the minimum height required is around 5 foot 8 inches. Despite having patriotism in the blood you should be at least 5 foot 6 inches to get admitted and here I am 5 foot 5 and a half inches tall.

Lost in all these thoughts, a student of class 11, Naitik was looking out of the window of the library. Such thoughts were flowing on because he had read the news of Nelson Mandela's death in a newspaper a few minutes ago. When the period got over he got out. When a senior smiled at him, he smiled back too. Then the senior said to her friend - 'Oh man! I find his face too funny. '

Naitik started boiling from inside. His heart was bleeding. What to say, how to say, how to say that he was just got freed from the prison of his memories, today someone put salt on an old wound again. When the mind started buzzing, he said to himself - 'Why will I burn myself in buy own fury, the God will take care?'

He has taken science but due to his lack of interest in the subject nothing good seemed to happen. Only Math is not going to do a miracle. The only thing on his mind was to prove himself so that he is not tormented in this manner.

Having talent is different and making talent your business is a totally different thing.

Math and a little bit of interest in computers were not going to work.

April 14, the computer teachers did not come today, so all were having fun. Someone was downloading a movie from the net, some listening to songs. Naitik observed Prateek he was playing chess.

Naitik- 'What man! What are you playing? Don’t you find it mind-boggling?’

Prateek – ‘You play and see man. This is like a riddle or like solving a puzzle.’

Naitik played chess with Prateek throughout the period. He got defeated in all the games. He got a whim of defeating by the Prateek. Naitik got hold of Prateek in every game period so that he can defeat him.

After losing 16 times, Naitik finally managed to defeat Prateek through Fried Liver Technique. Prateek was shocked to see a novice practicing this technique as it took years for him to master it. He never tried this move in front of Naitik. He took Naitik’s game lightly and got defeated.

Prateek - 'How could you think of this move? '

Naitik – ‘Don’t know bro, just happened.’

Prateek- 'Sure was a fluke.'

Naitik- 'What man!!! You only used to say that it is like solving puzzles and I like to solve puzzles.'

‘Well, this time the Under 18 is going to be held in Ghaziabad after the next two months, prove yourself there.’

Naitik - 'Accepted'

Now Naitik was confined to 64 squares of chessboard. He could not think of anything else.

Two months later

The contest was simple. Within 6 games tournament was going to get over. It was a knock-out format. Naitik won the first match very easily within 13 seconds only. Prateek was taken aback how did it happen. In contrast, he was eliminated in the first round only.

Naitik started to tease Prateek–‘Listen bro, the Teacher was eaten alive and his disciple ripped off through game of chess.'

Preek - 'Yes, Yes!!! I will see how far you can go.'

Naitik –‘Chill dude! You are my best friend and I did not want to hurt your feelings.’

Naitik continued to win. Now he reached the quarter-final. From his school, he was the only contestant to reach so far. Everyone was watching him that how is he going to win. Naitik got the Black pieces. He liked the white ones because the player gets the first move and is in a better control of the game.

The match started, in the first 4 moves he thought he would win. He looked in his opponent's eyes and smiled. He thought of giving check and mate in the next 2 moves, but his opponent gave him back a demonic smile for his heart to wrench and told you are caught off-guard. Killed Naitik’s Queen with his Knight, which left Naitik unarmed and lost the hold. His opponent was giving him a close chase. Within next 3 moves the game was over.

Prateek said–‘You played well boy’

Naitik said- 'Right!! That bugger chased me all over I didn’t even get a chance.’

Prateek laughingly said - 'Punk, he is a national level player. It is difficult to win against him. '

Naitik- 'Why didn't you tell me earlier?'

Prataak–‘If I had told you earlier also what you would have done?.'

This sentence pinched Naitik and he went away from there.

After 2 years

In college, Naitik tell his friends.

"Dude, should I go and tell her".

Yemen, Shakib and Devesh all said - 'Yes- Yes, go and tell.'

Shakeena was very pretty and so many people were after her. Naitik goes and tells her-

'Listen, I want to talk to you about something.'

Shakeena-'Tell'

Naitik - 'I like you, will you be my friend?'

Shakeena - 'Hey, Have you seen your face? Forget about being a Boyfriend, I do not keep a boy like you in my friend zone as well. Get lost.’

Yemen and Shakib started laughing. Naitik was again engulfed in his memories. The shortcoming of having a vast memory, it flashes one after another, seems like it happened yesterday.

Then he started introspecting in his heart. 'I am my own culprit. Why should I expect from others? It is like stabbing yourself in the heart. By doing this I’m giving the key of my happiness to someone else and They twist it the way they want. This is a trait that developed through generations. In a scientific term, it will be called Evolutionary traits. He thought why the Gods are painted white and the demons in black.

After five years,

Naitik is playing in Asia finals.

Black pieces this time again. The game starts; the opponent makes the fourth move and his gesture tells Naitik that you are not my level. Naitik lost his rook to the bishop because of the check. Both the players were talking through their eyes. Naitik could see the flashbacks of his life. How he made a mistake against his opponent. He started laying the trap, initially using a poison trap but turning it in the middle of the game to catch Derek to show off as if he was in distress. The game was turned the other way round once it gained momentum.

The opponent gave a surprised look. In the game which continued for 4 hours, Naitik was declared a winner. His name came in the news. There were numerous messages on Facebook to congratulate him. When he was replying to the people, he could see a congratulation message from the senior who mocked his face.

There was a message from Shakeena too. He did not reply to both messages. He took a sigh of relief after closing Facebook. The prizes were being given away after three hours. He was asked to speak about himself. Only 3 words came out of his mouth- 'Black! Bold and Beautiful 'Many people did not understand why Naitik said this, but there were two people who could comprehend it very well.
