Debu's Dhoti
Debu's Dhoti
Rishi was moving in the crowd of Triveni ghat of Rishikesh, the Holy Town of India on the banks of Ganga River.
He was holding tightly his father's hand while his mother was caring his little sister.
They had traveled all the way from Indore as his grandma's wish was to visit Haridwar and Rishikesh. The had attended the Mahaarti on the ghat which was very dazzling and holy words were rhythmically enchanted.
But, after the Arti all of five of them were moving out of the crowd towards the bridge Ram Jhula
Ramjhula was the suspension bridge between Muni ki Reti area and Gitaniwas in swaragashram area.
They were staying there during their visit. However as all were hungry they decided to have dinner at a well-known hotel on the way....
The hotel usually had their model dressed in traditional way seated on a chair as their marketing mascot. Their usual person was absent and the waiter Debu had to dress today.
He was irritated with his makeup, clothes and most of all false sta
nding choti (hair braid) on his head!
Rishi's sister Munni was tired and Rishi and she along with other children started playing with Debu
Debu instead of enjoying the attention of the children(as the usual person did) got irritated and got off his seat.
Munni who was being carried by Rishi's mother and was bored saw Debu's false choti and found it extremely interesting..
She grabbed it and to Debu's dismay his false choti came off.
Everyone around found this action very funny. But the angry Debu started shouting at Munni, who meanwhile was standing on the floor carrying Debu's false hair!!!
Rishi laughed at Debu and said, "forget your choti, take care of your dhoti"!
Debu looked down and saw now Munni was holding his dhoti!!
Seeing this danger signal, Debu immediately got away and sat down quietly on his seat.
The Hotel manager gave Munni and Rishi an extra ice cream free for calming Debu and making him sit on his seat for the tourists.
