Compete Yourself

There were two fish swimming in two separate bowls looking straight at each other. Interestingly both of them stared at each other with completely different thoughts. The big fish looked straight at the small fish thinking "Oh wow. Look at him. He has so much space to swim around. He's so free to swim in all that water"

The small fish looked right at the big fish and thought "WOW. How I wish I was as big and dominant as him. Nobody would bully me anymore." Both sat in their own bowls wishing they were each other. Isn't that so true of our own lives as well sometimes? Comparison is the thief of Joy. If only we stopped staring at everybody else. Focus on our blessings and aim to get better everyday. The only person you should be comparing yourself to is the person you were yesterday.
