There is no greater relief for a school student than a summer vacation. And this year, I was invited to my friend's place. I was just like "Are you kidding me?" I mean that's like, my dream home. It is surrounded by mountains, has a little farm, with a small stream flowing right through it. In its front yard, beautiful flowers are planted. In the backyard, there is more biodiversity than anywhere I had ever seen.

I was to stay there for a month! I knew that this was indeed going to be remembered as one good vacation. Three days had gone without even the slightest of problems. It was the next day that it took place.

My friend and I were silently playing PUBG, when something caught my eye. No, it was not that he was aiming a bazooka on me, although I knew it. It was something outside. I quickly kept my phone down and went outside to see what was it. As I stepped out, I saw that what was moving on the window, was actually a baby rabbit, trying to come in, escape the heat. Its parents lay dead on the ground, with a hawk. They had probably died fighting for the sake of their offspring.

When I went in to open the window, my friend said, "Hey dude, I just blasted you down with my RPG!" I did not pay attention, just let the rabbit inside, and told my friend, "Your parents shall not know what we have found today."

First, I quickly started making a little bed for it in a shoebox. I thought that it would be easy to hide the rabbit from the people in the house. But did not realize the seriousness.

The three cats in the house made keeping Andy a secret, difficult. I ultimately told everyone in the house about it. I was nervous, but everyone accepted a life with a rabbit. In the first few weeks, it was made to only drink milk. But then after some days, it ate its first solid food- a small carrot it found all by itself.

After some time, we taught it manners, and how to team up with the cats, in order to keep the house free of mice. My idea worked. With time, we understood its favorite food, weather, and hobbies.

When school started, the question arose. Who will keep Andy now? After a brief talk between our parents, we finally decided to let my friend keep it, but keep it a secret from our friends. We did not want fat dudes messing up the entire house, along with the privacy and silence.

When the Ganapati vacations came, it brought heavy rains with itself. I was invited to my friend's place again. I observed that Andy had grown very much. He loved carrots, and whenever thunder clapped, he used to squeal excitedly and go to the window, as to enjoy the rain.

No matter how many times we enjoyed together, it never became boring. He was a happy little creature, even after having no parents, and now, after two years of his death, he still comes in my dreams. And whenever I get depressed in life, I go near his gravestone, and the air over there gives me the answers to all the questions in my life.
