An Unexpected Train Trip (Part 1)

Last year while going to my college in Bombay I faced a lot of difficulties. I had set my alarm for the right time, but I overslept and didn’t hear the alarm. When I woke up, I found myself in a fix as only one hour was left for the train to depart. I took my entire luggage hastily and went to the station.

I ran inside the platform and rushed through the bustling crowd of people on the foot over the bridge and reached the platform. My train was about to depart and was gaining speed I ran as fast as I could and held one of the gate bars and came inside the train. As I entered the train, I started finding my seat when I realized that I had forgotten to buy the ticket at the station. My heart started beating fast and I felt as if it was in my mouth. I had seen jokes about how people pranked the ticket checkers, but this time it wasn’t funny, it was serious.
