A Wicked Stepmother

Once a upon a time a man and his wife had a daughter named Soniya. They were very happy family.

Then, one day Soniya's mother died due to some sickness. Soniya's father mourned his wife for years and was very sad.

After a while, Soniya's father thought of marrying another woman so that he needed help in bringing up his daughter. The woman whom he married was a widow and was also having a daughter named Sahana.

After few years Soniya's father expired and left Soniya alone with her step mother and her daughter Sahana.

Soniya was very beautiful and younger than her stepsister Sahana. The stepmother has a violent dislike for Soniya and made her to do all the household work. Her stepsister Sahana never used to work, she just be moving around the house by wearing stylish dresses.

One day, there was an announcement, that there is a fashion show in a rich man's house where his son Raghav will choose a girl as his wife. Everyone were excited including the stepmother and her daughter Sahana but the stepmother do not want to take Soniya to fashion show, so she warned her not to come and gave her household work and told her to finish all the work on time and also told her to help her stepsister Sahana for dressing up.

The neighbours of Soniya saw her still busy in her household work, so they told Soniya to get ready nicely and come. Soniya just nodded her head and worked fast as she could get everything done, but atlast she was left alone in house and she was disappointed. Soniya went near the window and was peeping out of windows seeing the girls dressed so beautifully to attend the fashion show. She felt very bad and was sobbing.

The neighbours were passing by her house and saw her disappointed and came to know about the wicked stepmother's idea, so they visited Soniya and told to get ready so that they will take her. Soniya was happy then she remembered her stepmother and was scared. The neighbours told her that they can come before the stepmother and her stepsister Sahana arrive at home. The neighbours also felt bad on Soniya and tried to help her in dressing up and transformed her into a beautiful maiden in such a way that no one can recognize Soniya, then they went to rich man's house for fashion show and enjoyed nicely.

Raghav greeted Soniya and was so delighted with her beauty and Soniya was so graceful that everyone turned to see her including her stepmother and stepsister Sahana. After few hours, Soniya noticed that her stepmother and her daughter are not visible, So she informed neighbours that they should leave now before the stepmother and stepsister Sahana reached to their home.

 The neighbours and Soniya slipped away and returned home immediately before they reached and removed all her dresses and gave it to her neighbour and thanked her neighbours because they helped Soniya to dress up into a beautiful maiden and she had enjoyed nicely. Then Soniya washed her face and removed her makeup and sat in the corner of the house waiting for her stepmother and stepsister Sahana.

After few minutes, the stepmother and her daughter Sahana came happily and freshen up and were discussing about the beautiful maiden and slept as it was late night.

The next day, the rich man send his workers to find out the photo of a beautiful maiden which was taken by his son Raghav. They came to know about Soniya's house by one of her neighbour's. They reached to Soniya's house and asked her stepmother, but the stepmother did not recognize Soniya but Soniya saw the photo and was shocked to see herself in the photo that Raghav has choose her to marry. Soniya was happy but one side she was scared of her stepmother that she will get to know that Soniya attended the fashion show. But the neighbours told the whole story of that night what all had happened. The stepmother and her daughter Sahana were shocked and were speechless.

After few days, Raghav and Soniya married. The stepmother and her daughter Sahana begged forgiveness for treating her so badly. Soniya was kind-hearted, so she forgived them both and Soniya and Raghav lived happily.
