A single tear dropped down my cheek, as my fingers brushed past her black hair, my heart triumphed with joy. A smile escaped my lips, cradling my angel in my arms I whispered: “I promise to protect, nurture and love you till the end of time.” You opened your brown eyes as they looked into mine and I knew I was truly a mother now. Caressing your cheek your little finger held my big ones, small laughter escaped my mouth as a joyful tear slipped. Planting kisses on your forehead my ears caught the sounds of footsteps approaching our room. My breathing hitched, my heart stopped for a second while my arms wrapped more tightly around you. I couldn’t let them take you from me, I have to save you.

A group of men entered the hospital demanding to see the mother and the newborn child. The frightened nurse with a shiver in her voice spoke the room no 503. The men marched towards the door with aggression, opening it hastily just to find it empty. Letting out a frustrated sigh the leader’s phone rang “Did you get them?” was the question asked. “We lost them.” The leader spoke gulping his fears. “Find them.” The scream from the other side was enough for the group to run out of the hospital in search of the people who could save them from the wrath of their boss.

Reaching the station they tried to search them through the hustle and bustle of it but the throngs of people made it difficult for them to locate the two. “Look over there, she’s boarding the train.” One of the men with a loud voice screamed. “Let’s go.” The leader ordered as they ran pushing people past them. In that second their ears caught the sound of the train engine announcing its departure. Their legs ran faster as the leader saw the frightened eyes of the mother peeking through the window. “That compartment.” He pointed as they followed him.

The second the group reached the entrance of the train, the speed picked up the two men up front fell on the two backward smashing them on the platform. I let out a sigh when I saw them crash as I whispered a “Thank you” to God for saving us. “Don’t worry angel they will never find us.”
