"Abbu, aaj college mat jao, pls", (Dad, please don't go to college today)

Every time I return home from college, I use to say this line to my dad. But, he smiles gently, and says, "nahi beti jana toh padega" (No dear, we have to leave). I simply walk with him through the main gate with his bag and wave at him!

At the time, I was about 21 years old and used to feel like my dad ignored me and did not love me. Every time I feel low at home, my mum comes to me and tries to pull me out of it.

After graduation, I was employed by a company. But the location was too far from my home. So traveling home became troublesome. I rarely visited home for 6 months, once for 3-4 days.

Every time I return from home to the city where I work my dad stops me and says "Beti,ek 2 din keliye ruk ja, itni jadly kyahy" (Dear, stay for 2 more days). But, my only reply was, "Nahy abbu, jana padega" (No dad, have to leave)

As I boarded the bus, I started to think about the time I used to stop my dad from going to college. Over time, I realized that when we have responsibility on our shoulders, we sacrifice a lot for them!

This message is for all youngsters to understand the efforts that our parents do for us and respect them!

Because at the end agar vo hy toh hum hy.........
