One day I went to a zoo with my father on a train. I met amazing animals like the Gharial a species of crocodile that is found in North East India and is an endangered species. I saw a group of them in a pond poking their head above the surface of the water. Next I saw a group of crocodile bask in the sun. In the opposite side two hippopotamus in its enclosure and they ignore me and ate its food and also splashed the water into murky water.

When I was looking at the hippopotamus and walking forward some one throw a banana peeled and it hit my shoulder. I look round and saw a dozen of macaques monkeys sitting next to each other , grooming and eating banana. One macaques lost its tale. When I asked to the zoo keeper " What happened to macaques tail?. Zoo Keeper said to me that macaques lost his tale while doing mischievous.

After walking at the left side of the zoo there was a big cage were owls were living in. The big cage had a tree inside it. Owls didn't make any noise because they had no eye sight at the day time. Father asked me , "John Do you heard the roaring sound. I am very happy and answered by shacking the head. Lion roaring sound was so loud and can hear it from a mile away. We checked out what was going on when lion just got release from a cage to an enclosure. It looked happy as ever. There were also tigers and leopards in the zoo. When we go near there cage they were sleeping away in the after noon. When they woke up and growled at us while we arrived in front of the cage. The zoo keeper gave them a chuck of meat to enjoy.

After seeing the animals and birds in the zoo I was very sad that they had lost their freedom. I asked the zoo keeper " Why do we put wild animals in the zoo?. Zoo keeper said to me that they were arrived from different parts of the world. When wild animals destroy the crops of near by village of the forest, searching for food and murdering domestic animals and humans. In the zoo they got food and didn't harm any one.

After talking to the zoo keeper I again observed all the movements and habits of birds and animals in the zoo. Now zoo was going to close for visitors. I said "Good Bye" to all wild animals and birds in the zoo and "Thank you" to all zoo keepers. Father calling and said to John "We will come again don't be sad".
