Who Is She?

High up in the air, in the sunlit sky,

She is crying out loud, she is sweating,

She is weeping, her tears just keep on falling,

She is suffering from extreme pain,

She is running out of blood, she is begging for life…

Does anyone care about her? Who is she?

What happened to her?

She is crying out loud,

She is crying with tears of blood,

She is crying because her air is no longer clean,

Her water is no longer pure, her lands are polluted,

Her rivers are diluted, her trees are being chopped

Her hills are being lopped.

She is running out of blood because too much taking and not enough giving,

Wells are drying and ice keeps melting,

Flora gets degrading and fauna gets declining,

She is suffering from severe pain because massive deforestation,

Excessive contamination of ozone depletion, cyclone destruction, volcano eruption,

Earthquake devastation, carbon emission, nuclear explosion

No one hears the threat, no one seems to care,

About the pain, she suffers and the life she shares

No one hears her pleas,

No one comes to save, everyone ignores her every cry,

She is begging for her life,

Yes she is our MOTHER EARTH "
