What If!?

I wished I was lying next to you,

Looking at your eyes

That’s oozing the sparkles of love

Into the world that isn’t enough to hold

The love you are pouring.

I wished there was no place

I’d rather be,

Than being next to you,

And I wished there’s nothing

I’d rather see

Than the love in your eyes.

But I realised,

That kind of love doesn’t exist

In the world we are in,

That’s filled with uncertainties

And the fear of losing.

In a perfect world,

We could have been happy,

We could have been better.

But in reality,

We couldn’t find the nest

In each other’s dreams,

Even when your name was

Stuck on my lips

Like poetry,

Even when you were

Filled in my heart

Like a hope,

Even when you were

All over my mind

Like a dream,

And even when you had become

A part of my soul

With a stream of emotions

Flowing through me!!
