What Can A Poet Do To You?

What can a poet do to you?

Other than just melting your heart,

Or making you sing with his rhyming words,

But wait, he doesn't stop there!

Just close your eyes

You can feel it happening,

You feel everything real

You escape reality for a moment

Just sit and relax

He takes you to the past;

Shows the glimpse of the future

With him, Time travel is definitely possible, never under debate here

Just watch your foot

You never know where he is taking you;

It can be as dark as woods or as deep as an ocean

Just stop reading

Deep in his thoughts, You get drowned

He lets you imagine beyond the horizon

Just hold your breath for a moment

You will fall in love

You cannot help it

You will fall for his words

And it's worth it

By the end of the poem, You may bid him adieu

But You always come back for more

He can do much more

A few things left unsaid

Always have a greater meaning.
