Vandae Maataram

 When a five-year-old

in the village gets an education, 

I hold my heads high 

and say 

"Freedom"

When a female child gets to 

celebrates her "teen" birthday, 

I raise my head high and say, 

"Freedom" 

When women get home 

independently and safely 

I raise my head high and say, 

"Freedom" 

When I see farmers  living happily, 

I raise my head high and say, 

"Freedom" 

When I see no one starving, 

and see the nation's economy booming, 

I proudly call it developing and 

I raise my head high as a 

patriot and call this the  real 

"Freedom"
