To My Subconscious Mind
To My Subconscious Mind
I feed you with thoughts that are nothing but white lies,
Yet you accept them and disguise them as a reality,
Though my heart contradicts those thoughts,
You suppress those contradictions,
And make me believe in what I made you believe.
I clean out my memory, my sorrows,
Sorrows which now no longer seem to exist,
They didn't vanish, nor did I accept them,
They are just suppressed by the thoughtful lies of my subconscious mind.
Don't stop pretending, or I may stop living again,
Let me be at peace with my lies,
For I want to be free from all the ties,
My heart will cry today,
But tomorrow we will see a better day!
Don't judge me for what I say,
I can't resist the truth,
But I don't want to accept it either,
I can live with the lie,
But I don't want to die with it either!
