The Supreme Intelligence

I sometimes wonder if there is a cause

To the creation of the whole existence,

I looked for a means to find an answer

But, alas, I ended up with my mind alone;

Is it the chicken from the egg or otherwise?

Is it the tree from the seed or otherwise?

Is it the macro from the micro or otherwise?

I am still trying to unravel the mystery;

The thoughts may create the words

And the words may create the thoughts in turn,

Which is the cause and which is the effect?

I wonder if both of them produce each other;

A cause may produce an effect one day

And the same effect may become another cause another day,

Is this a perpetual cycle of cause and effect?

And I wonder if there can be a root cause of all;

The mind may try hard to find out the root cause

But it may question its own ability to do so,

For, it is confined to its own limitations,

Which it may find impossible to overcome;

The whole existence seems to circle around

The birth, the sustenance, and the death,

Birth and death may happen as accidental

But how is the sustenance of life going forever?

Every creature knows how to survive

Right from its birth and trying to escape from death,

Who could be the one to teach this lesson to all?

And who could be the one who made us all learn so well?

One living being eats another living being to survive

But who could be the one to maintain this balance?

The man’s greed may disturb this balance one day

But still the existence may continue in some other way;

The cause and effect phenomenon alone

May not be the reason for the whole existence

And there may be something responsible outside of it,

Which must hence be causeless and timeless;

Who could establish the Order that may never cease

And what could be the reason behind this Order?

This reason may never be caught by our senses

And it may be nothing but the Supreme Intelligence.

This Supreme Intelligence has been for time immemorial,

Unknowable, immeasurable, ineffable, and so on,

The mind may be able to perceive its presence

Only when there is a motiveless and absolute silence.
