The Profits of Plastic

Many people believe the earth's execution

Will be at the hands of pollution.

And we humans claim,

That plastic’s the one to blame!

But I think that our opinion for plastic,

Is really harsh and drastic.

Think it over and realize with a jolt,

Its not plastic’s but rather our fault!

For we are the ones who misused it.

Here are some benefits of plastic,

It’s really very fantastic.

We just have to use it the right way.

Plastic you can trust,

It doesn’t tear, break or rust.

It's light and compact,

And rather cheap in fact.

Its flexible, reliable and comes in many a hue,

It's durable, strong and waterproof too!

You pack your food in a plastic container or box,

And plastic in the packaging of your brand-new socks.

And this one rule is absolutely vital:

Reduce, Reuse and Recycle!

Use old plastic items like bags and bottles,

Turn them into flowerpots or project models.

Did you know that our airplanes and latest jets,

Are made of plastic, please don’t forget.

Plastic equipment for sports,

Cones for training and rackets in courts.

Plastic plays a role in hospitals too:

Gloves, syringes, insulin pens,

IV tubes, catheters and other equipments.

Lifesaving stents to open blocked arteries,

Medicine bottles in all the pharmacies.

It’s difficult to imagine life without plastic

It would be so boring and unenthusiastic.

No toys or video games to buy or to sell,

We’ll just have to think of something else!

I hope you can see plastic is rather useful,

But if excess it can be a handful!

So better be careful…

Or the results could be dreadful.
