The Only Day

The Only Day

1 min
269

It was a sunny day,

And everyone was ready to pray.

No human can suffer such pain,

By wiping the tears that went like rain.

The screams that shook the walls,

I went bouncing off like the playing balls.

Everyone, in a curious mood,

I wanted to know whether it was a girl or a dude.

A sudden noise that went into the ears,

Was followed by a laugh that was filled with tears.

A nurse came out with a child bigger than a pearl,

With a smiling face, she told the father,

“Congratulations, it’s a girl.”

Everybody in the mood of joy,

Brought many gifts, including a toy.

And this was the only day when

I cried and my mother smiled.
