The Miracle Coconut

The Miracle Coconut

Beside the singing, silver seas,
Beneath the sway of tropical breeze,
There stands a tree both proud and tall—
The gracious coconut, gift to all.

Its emerald palms in sunlight gleam,
Like plumes within a monarch’s dream.
The oceans whisper at its feet,
While earth and sky in silence meet.

O wondrous fruit of nature’s hand,
A treasure born of sea and sand!
No part of you is cast away,
For every piece has use each day.

Within the shell so firm and round
Pure crystal water may be found.
Cool as rain from heaven’s height,
It revives the weary with delight.

The tender flesh, so white and mild,
Feeds the old and nourishes the child.
Rich with goodness, rare and deep,
It strengthens minds their light to keep.

It sharpens memory’s fading flame,
Restores the weak to health again.
For ancient healers often knew
The hidden powers concealed in you.

Its oil like liquid amber glows,
A balm from which great beauty flows.
It crowns the hair with silken grace
And lends soft radiance to the face.

It heals the skin, restores its bloom,
And chases pain and illness’ gloom.
The humble coconut thus becomes
Nature’s healer in countless homes.

The rugged shell, once emptied bare,
Still finds a noble purpose there.
Craftsmen shape with patient art
Bowls and vessels finely wrought.

From simple huts to royal feast,
Its usefulness has never ceased.
Even the husk, so brown and strong,
Serves mankind the whole life long.

It roofs the huts where families rest,
Protecting hearts the storms may test.
Its fibres twist to ropes and mats,
Strong as the courage labour has.

The leaves that dance in ocean air
Become fine baskets woven fair;
Or sacred fans in temple light
That flutter softly through the night.

Its sturdy trunk, enduring, grand,
Builds homes across the coastal land.
Bridges, boats, and village walls
Rise where the coconut tree calls.

Thus every part, from root to crown,
Bestows rich blessings all around.
No other tree with such grace stands
A living gift to human hands.

O miracle fruit by oceans born,
You greet the dusk and bless the morn.
In every fibre, leaf, and seed
You answer countless human needs.

So let the world with reverence see
The generous coconut tree—
A symbol of abundance bright,
Nature’s own lamp of life and light.
