The Luminous

I was like a drowning child,

The fear of my mind had gone wild,

Then I saw you standing at the bay,

But for your help, I wouldn't have been there where I am today.

When I was obumbrated with darkness,

You came in my life like a torch-bearer,

Then I learned to leave behind all the stress,

And made my vision clearer.

When I got befuddled with thoughts entrenched in my mind,

Then you taught me to break the shackle in which I was confined.

I will not be able to express my gratitude in words

But always remember that I am here, always grateful to you, in the vast herds.

You might have received such appreciating poems a thousand times,

But not like this one as here gratitude rhymes.

I will not simply say 'Thank You',

For I think it will be bemeaning you.

Today because of your teachings,

I have reached to the pinnacle of success,

No matter what the life brings,

Your motivations will always be with me in distress.
