The Love Birds!!

The Love Birds!!

On that huge tree, she was the only life,

No friends, no siblings, and lost her mother,

Oh! How that small but fat, not so beautiful -

Bird feared in nights and cried in feathers.

Oh what pity! She was all alone,

Loneliness and sorrow were dissolved in her blood,

No one greeted her, nor she did to anyone,

Her eyes remained wet and days dry.

And so, now she had made up her mind,

No one, she would ever exchange her words with,

Anyone who called her, by chance,

Was likely to be shooed away with angry blows.

But one day, when someone greeted,

She, didn't get angry but also didn't reply,

To the handsome male of her own kind,

Who, with this velvet voice calmed the bird's heart.

Some praises about her round, big eyes,

Her perfectly arranged feathers and,

Her light yellow body shining in the sun,

And there she replied to him with her sweet croon.

Both the lives craved happiness for each other,

And secretly encased love in their hearts,

Days passed and their friendship grew,

Like it never would face an end, seeming to long last till the end of forever.

Hell! Now came the night of ruth and ruin,

The male had to return to his origin,

He had to reveal this to the little bird,

Though he knew his negligible chances to come back to her again.

Oh! How his heart broke crying himself to the bird,

But she tried to be strong, did not cry in front of him,

Asked him to promise- "Please don't forget me!"

The male smiled and promised her the same till death.

Saying last goodbyes, they parted,

Both the hearts were broken but-

The bird was more buried in the grief,

And so cried and cried and cried, sleeplessly.

Soon the sun climbed the Sky, as usual, next morning,

She could feel her eyes swollen and paining in mourning,

Face had fallen to the depth of sorrow,

Still she knew, she loved her beloved.

Closing her eyes to rest a bit, his face-

Pictured underneath her wet with tears eyelids,

Trying not to think more, she quickly opened them,

And there he was, smiling at her widely.

Oh Lord! She couldn't believe her eyes,

The bird hugged him out of joy and delight,

Then the love birds confessed the true love, they carried,

Living and loving happily ever after.

This was a short tale of true love and friendship,

How they cannot survive without the other,

How they brought happiness to the bird's life,

Like a blossom in her heart's deserted garden.

This world must cherish both the emotions,

To make this place an ocean of the two,

That ocean having the drops of happiness,

Making the world, the best place to live!!
