The Kite
The Kite
Calling with enthusiasm and energy
Prompting to shed off the lethargy
In the sky, blue and bright
There ascends an attractive kite
So swiftly and freely it floats
In its lush green and scarlet coat
On seeing a kite, the kids on the ground
Happily jump, leap and pound
“Oh wonderful kite
So many ideas you ignite”
Remember the famous experiment
When Benjamin Franklin was led by amazement
A paper Kite gave a fillip to his curiosity
His ideas gained a remarkable variety
Consequently, he confirmed the similarity
Shared by lightning in the sky and the general electricity
Not merely a means to enjoy nature
Many minds a kite surely has nurtured
If you too are interested in knowing more
The kite says, "come, there’s so much to explore
I can take you to a high
Watch me, I decorate the sky.”
